The GDGC
Our Mission:
To build community and grow disc golf in Guelph through engagement, accessibility, and inclusivity.
About the Club
Current Club Initiatives
The Guelph Disc Golf Club (GDGC) is a registered club of the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) working to build the sport of disc golf in the Guelph area.
The club is actively working with the City of Guelph, the University of Guelph Arboretum, Upper Grand District School Board, private landowners and several other organizations to grow disc golf.
We are actively involved in initiatives to install new facilities, improve existing courses, and to improve relationships with local land owners. The club is involved in several initiatives to introduce new players to the sport through educational programming and community-based events.
Eastview Disc Golf Course
The Club successfully submitted a proposal to the City of Guelph and worked with the City on the development/installation of a new 18-hole course in the Eastview Community Park. Currently, the club is seeking volunteers to help with course maintenance.
Guelph Public Library
The Club has partnered with the GPL to run a teen disc golf program, and you can borrow discs from the Library too!
Youth & Senior Lessons
In partnership with the City of Guelph, the club runs youth (8-12) and senior (55+) disc golf programs through the city’s parks and recreation programming.
Ice Bowl
The club runs an annual charity disc golf tournament to raise funds for local organizations. In 2021, 2022 & 2023 almost $15,000 was raised for The SEED, an organization that helps those with food insecurity.
School Programs
The club has provided resources for local schools to incorporate disc golf into their curriculum and is working to install disc golf facilities within school grounds.
Guelph and District Multicultural Festival
In 2022 the Club participated in the festival where we operated a booth introducing festival attendees to disc golf.

Denis Guité
Volunteer of the year
Denis (pictured right) has been volunteering with the Guelph Disc Golf Club ever since he started playing. Whether he’s sweeping or shovelling tee pads before an event, helping with course clean-up, helping with course setup or takedown, or helping run the Club booth at a local community event, Denis is always quick to volunteer and offer a helping hand (often without even being asked!)
Denis is a great example of volunteerism at its best, giving his time and effort purely for the love of the game and the community so we are very glad that we were able to recognize this in some way. Thanks Denis for all that you do!
